Digital Booklet
Daniel Heide, better known worldwide as a chamber musician and highly appreciated partner of singers for song recitals, is one of the most sought-after German pianists, also because of his profound musicality. He discovered singers like Konstantin Krimmel, Andrè Schuen and also the soprano Katharina Konradi; his recordings with them were celebrated as highly acclaimed album premieres. Here, he rediscovers his old love for the Beethoven sonatas: "My complete recording of Ludwig van Beethoven's piano sonatas definitely follows autobiographical traits in the order and programming of the individual volumes. In my pianistic work over the past 15 years, an ever-increasing focus on making music in partnership has emerged. What began as general chamber music making with instrumentalists and singers has developed more and more into concert activity in duo, mainly in recitals worldwide. That this approach in its frequency would be enough for a stable living, I had hardly dared to dream before. When asked what was actually going on with my solo playing, I could only ever answer with a shrug and point out that I needed something like a sabbatical to practice solo repertoire in peace and come back to playing piano recitals. Then came Corona. Suddenly there was the time..." - Daniel Heide

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
