Symphonic metal pirates Visions of Atlantis embark to the high seas once again! After hitting the Top 20 on the German album charts with their most confident and honest full length so far, Pirates, the fulminant release of their third live album, Pirates Over Wacken, earlier this year, and extensive touring throughout the US and Europe, the multinational five piece doesn’t stop to rest. Now, they release an exclusive orchestral-only version of their successful album, Pirates, under the title of A Pirate’s Symphony, via Napalm Records. The band invites listeners to join them on a marvelous ride through intriguing soundscapes and hauntingly beautiful melodies, along with symphonic heaviness. But this time, this is done without vocals, without drums - and even without guitars. Well-known songs like the mighty ”Melancholy Angel”, charging “Wild Elysium” and majestic “Master The Hurricane” shine in another light flowing seamlessly into each other creating one majestic symphony presenting them with more emotional depth. At times this experience can be more romantic and intimate like on rousing “Clocks” but turning over in the next moment to soaring epicness letting the raw power of dramatic choirs and heavy orchestration stand for itself.
