Digital Booklet
"Shelley handles the often intricate solo parts of these concertos with characteristic aplomb and stylishness. The theme and variations of the Andantino of the Op 3 Concerto in E flat, the military inflections of the Op 14 Concerto in F and the ‘Turkish’ Rondo of the G minor Concerto are particularly appealing. Dussek wrote little orchestral music beyond his concertos but the sympathetic collaboration of the Ulster Orchestra showcases the increasing subtlety and sophistication of his handling of the orchestra … a welcome addition to the library of anyone interested in the fertile territory of late 18th- and early 19th-century piano music." - Gramophone Howard Shelley’s earlier release of Dussek concertos was described as ‘a real find’ (BBC Music Magazine). This successor is, if anything, even more impressive, culminating in one of the finest unknown piano concertos from the early nineteenth century.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
