Maestro Hartung and his Cologne New Philharmonic Orchestra made a legendary recording at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam with Rimsky-Korsakoff's Symphonic Suite Sheherazade' from 1001 Nights'.
The fabulous orchestra was led by Concertmaster Stefan Filas enchanting with his famous violin solo, which represented the narrator princess, and cellist Guido Schiefen gave the prince with his mnesmerizing playing in wonderful interplay. In the winds, a number of Coryphaei presented their soli: Michael Schubert, 1st flute; Frank Struck, 1st Horn, Miltos Mumulides, 1st clarinet, Detlev Klestil, bassoon and Georg Bongartz, solo oboe.
In addition flutist Michael Schubert and Lika Yakupova deliver two high-speed versions of Rimsky’s "Flight of the Bumblebee".
