"This overdue anthology of Seger’s earliest recordings preserves a handful of singles by a young Detroit garage-rock band that blended rock’n’roll and R&B, party music and passion." - Pitchfork Heavy Music: The Complete Cameo Recordings 1966-1967 is the first time ever that all records by the celebrated Detroit group will be made available since their origination as 45rpm singles. The collection represents how stylistically, the band went beyond simple garage rock stomp and stammer formula and spread their wings lyrically and sonically in a few short years. The album is wrapped in an newly designed package, and liner notes by celebrated music writer Jim Allen, rare original photographs and label art from the Cameo Parkway vaults. The monophonic collection was mastered by Robert Vosgien at Capitol Mastering.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
