Janus Records releases a high-resolution digital remaster of Denise LaSalle's monumental 1972 record Trapped By A Thing Called Love. The set is built around the title track, which was co-produced by LaSalle and Bill Jones. "Trapped by a Thing Called Love" was a gold record and her biggest hit on the US Soul chart where it went to number one, and her only Top 40 pop hit peaking at number thirteen.
Ora Denise Allen (July 16, 1934 – January 8, 2018), known by the stage name Denise LaSalle, was an American blues, R&B and soul singer, songwriter, and record producer who, since the death of Koko Taylor, had been recognized as the "Queen of the Blues".
