Charles Goold, one of New York City's hardest working jazz drummers of his generation, releases his new album on La Reserve Records. Triptych Lespri continues Goold’s quest to link the rhythms and cultures of African Diasporic music in the Western Hemisphere. Inspired by his own family background, the drummer dives into traditional Haitian rhythms from the secular and Vodou realms, melding them with contemporary jazz.
