Classical guitarist Marina Tomei releases Alma Antigua, a collection of works documenting the "Belle Epoque", a period of French and European history that began after the end of the Franco-Prussian War in 1871 and continued until the outbreak of World War I in 1914.
"... My research was, on one hand, in the guitar literature of the time, and on the other, towards transcriptions for guitar of the top works of the repertoire. Finally I was able to put together a complete repertoire for guitar of Impressionist music, made up of very little known European composers, such as Samazeuilh and Parodi, but also composers from the same period who left transcriptions of pieces such as 'Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte', 'Claire de Lune' and other emblematic works of Impressionism."
