"All's fair in love and poetry."
Taylor Swift has released the expanded edition of her highly anticipated 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, entitled The Anthology. The album was originally released as a 16 track album, before Taylor unveiled that the album is, in fact, a 31 track double album.
The surprises didn't begin there though. The Tortured Poets Department was first announced as a surprise after Swift won the award for "Best Pop Vocal" album for Midnights at the 2024 Grammy Awards, saying in her acceptance speech:
“I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So I want to say ‘thank you’ to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years—which is that my brand new album comes out April 19.”
Now, that album is available and expanded, featuring the original 16 album tracks, including the Post Malone-assisted “Fortnite,” and “Florida!!!” which features Florence + the Machine, alongside a whopping 15 extra tracks on the double-album!
