"... musically, one of his best. The title track is based on a groove held firmly in place by drummer Billy Higgins and features a great solo by tenor man Joe Henderson."
- The Night Owl
This 1965 hard bop session from trumpeter Lee Morgan was an attempt to recapture some of the magic of Morgan's huge hit album The Sidewinder and includes two of the same acclaimed sidemen, Joe Henderson on tenor saxophone and drummer Billy Higgins, who played on that earlier album. They are joined here by Ronnie Mathews on piano and Victor Sproles on bass. Of note is the ballad The Lady featuring a rare performance from Morgan on muted trumpet.
