Bass player George Mraz and pianist Emil Viklický, two of the leading Czech jazz musicians, are Together Again on this album, performing their vision of new Czech jazz, captivating and imaginative; fresh ideas built on traditional foundations. Originally, Viklický arranged his old and new compositions for a trio, just as he had for his earlier recordings. But while practicing alone with Mraz they noticed they sounded just as good without a drummer. When listening to Together Again played by a duet, it is difficult to imagine how Viklický's inimitable playing style, with legato and staccato, could be presented better.
