With this album, the Swiss pianist Anna Reichert has set herself the task of shedding new light on the work of the Swiss composer Johann Carl Eschmann in its interplay of the light and the shadowy in all its originality and versatility: The focus is on the cycle Licht und Schatten, Op. 6 and Trifolium op. 64. These two cycles are complemented by some earlier shorter individual pieces from earlier collections.
