Liszt was also a master of transcription who, in addition to his numerous piano versions of orchestral and chamber music, also arranged works by Verdi, Wagner, and Chopin for the organ. This provided the impetus for the present album: Why not ask the organ to try out a new role and interpret some of Liszt’s piano works?
