Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica, known for their unique style of music blending heavy metal with classical cello arrangements, release their 10th studio album Apocalyptica Plays Metallica, Vol. 2. Not just going back to their roots, this time Apocalyptica have recruited members of Metallica themselves with a vocal feature on "One" by James Hetfield, Rob Trujillo (bass guitar) on "The Four Horsemen", and Dave Lombardo (Drums) on "Blackened". This expanded edition features an all-new instrumental rendition of "One". “It’s the coolest thing. We didn’t push - it was offered. Metallica have always done things with passion, and they’ve always been brave enough to do different things. They don’t ignore the fans but they aren’t servants, either. There’s honour in that struggle and a certain honesty in everything that they do, and that’s true for us, too.” - Apocalyptica

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
