The complete second series of FRAGMENTS, focusing on re-works of compositions by French composer Lili Boulanger (1893–1918), has been released. First launched in 2021 with French composer Erik Satie at its center, the project celebrates music past and present by inviting some of today’s most innovative electronic artists to combine traditional and modern composition. Coinciding with and also part of the release of the full album of the series, a final single by il:lo, inspired by Boulanger’s composition "Reflets", is also released today. This rework effortlessly connects the past with the present through a fusion of classical innovation and modern electronic sound. The outcome is a compelling track featuring a groovy bass line and percussion, creating a rhythmically engaging and atmospheric experience.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
