"... feature the definitive hard bop styling of Hank Mobley and Philly Joe Jones ... while the whole album is a worthwhile listen, there's a particular spark on the tracks from the second session, highlighted by this title track." - Jazz.com Recorded at two different sessions six months apart in 1963, Hank Mobley's No Room For Squares serves as a showcase not only for Mobley's tenor sax virtuosity, but also for the talent of the musicians he recruited for these two sessions. Drummer Philly Joe Jones played on both sessions; the first session features pianist Herbie Hancock, bassist Butch Warren and trumpeter Donald Byrd while the second session highlights pianist Andrew Hill, bassist John Ore and Lee Morgan on trumpet.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
