"Among the highlights is the propulsive Zambia where Morgan trades molten solos with Henderson's raspy sax."
- Record Collector
Recorded over two sessions in 1966 with two different sets of musicians, this album gives fans the chance to hear Lee Morgan backed by both a quintet and a big band. The quintet features Joe Henderson, McCoy Tyner, Bob Cranshaw and Billy Higgins, while some of the members of the big band include Phil Woods, Wayne Shorter, Danny Bank and Philly Joe Jones with arrangements by Oliver Nelson. Most of the material is original but also includes rather unusual and eclectic selections from the Beatles and from the Broadway musical Fiddler On The Roof.
