On this collection of beautiful miniatures, tenor Ramón Vargas turns his attention to the songs of a composer almost synonymous with opera. Verdi said song had the same significance as a sketch had for a painter; it gave him the opportunity to capture emotions and characters more intimately than in the wide space of the opera stage. Vargas is joined here by soprano Joanna Parisi and pianist Charles Spencer.
