"Sixteen years after their last album, Robert Smith & co. return at their own glacial pace. Sounding regal, weary, and deliciously slow, they grapple with mortality and doubt as only they could." - Pitchfork After years of anticipation, The Cure finally release their 14th studio album Songs Of A Lost World. The record is their first in 16 years. Songs Of A Lost World was written and arranged by Robert Smith, produced and mixed by Robert Smith & Paul Corkett, and performed by The Cure. The Cure is Robert Smith: Voice/guitar/six-string bass/keyboard, Simon Gallup: Bass, Jason Cooper: Drums/percussion, Roger O’Donnell: Keyboard, and Reeves Gabrels: Guitar. The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales. Smith chose Bagatelle, a 1975 sculpture by Slovenian artist Janez Pirnat, to illustrate the sleeve. The album cover was then designed by Andy Vella.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
