"... (a) charming hang session ... most bar bands don't manage trio harmonies near this gorgeous ... it's a promising sign." - Rolling Stone "Despite the title, fun is the operative word ... a spare, unfussy batch of covers and originals, a campfire pervading throughout ... as infectious as it is casual." - Wondering Sound "... the casual nature of the performances works in the disc’s favor since it seems the threesome is enjoying themselves and just wants to spread the love. It’s all agreeable and played, sung and harmonized with the low key allure of music born out of clubs as opposed to concert halls. Jones’s velvety voice remains magnetic even at its most playful, as she is here ..." - American Songwriter Alt-country trio Puss N Boots was formed by superstar Norah Jones with jazz singer Sasha Dobson and session musician Catherine Popper in 2008; it took them six years to get around to making this debut. Recorded in Brooklyn, No Fools, No Fun includes five original songs, two each from Dobson and Popper and one from Jones who plays guitar here, not piano. There are also seven spirited cover tunes, all culled from the trio's live repertoire. The studio tracks were recorded in three days while three live songs come from a performance in June 2013 at a small club in Brooklyn called The Bell House. "Down By The River is one of my all time favorite Neil Young recordings and I've always had this fantasy of playing it and rocking the guitar solo. I never really thought I'd have the guts to do it, but that's sort of what this band has always been about, trying new things. We always egg each other on ..." - Norah Jones

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
