This album of world premiere recordings from Chinese pianist Bing Bing Li contains piano sonatas and other piano works by Walter Niemann, a composer largely overlooked since World War II. Niemann's prolific output for piano, including several full-scale sonatas, is mainly romantic and reflective in style, yet with an underlying passion as interpreted here by Li.
