Living Mirage is the fourth album from American Indie rockers, The Head and the Heart. Living Mirage signifies what bassist Chris Zasche describes as a “rebirth, a spirit quest of sorts,” following some changes in the band’s lineup (guitarist-vocalist Josiah Johnson amicably departed after their previous album, Signs of Light). The album's recording was split between Mojave Desert's "Joshua Tree", Appleton Wisconsin's "The Refuge Fox Cities", West Seattle, Nashville's "Omnisound," and LA's "Barefoot Recordings." Producers Tyler Johnson and Alex Salibian (Harry Styles, Sam Smith) and engineer Ryan Nasci help bring the LP to life. “In my mind, the songs on this album are vignettes. Like ‘Brenda’ reminds me of when you’re a teenager at a house party. You’re surrounded by noise -- ‘What am I doing here?’ -- and a ray of light comes down and you notice this person. You’re like, ‘Maybe I will stay.’ These songs feel honest.” - Jon Russell (Vocals)

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
