This album marks the world premiere recording of American composer Gordon Getty's 1987 comic opera Plump Jack, in which Getty uses his muse, Shakespeare’s beloved character, Falstaff. Ulf Schirmer conducts the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Radio Chorus, joined by an acclaimed cast of soloists, on this work which Getty considers his best score.
