After two successful releases of Christmas music, pianist and arranger David Ian draws inspiration from another holiday as he explores these familiar jazz classics. The album retains the intimate feel and vintage sound of Ian's previous recordings, his delicate piano arrangements leading a small jazz combo, joined at times by guest vocalists including Kevin Max and gospel legend Russ Taff. The selections on this album reflect Ian’s own journey in discovering jazz, many of the tracks among the first standards he came to love.
