Elton John's self-titled 1970 album was actually his second release but his breakthrough album worldwide, certified gold in the US and containing his first hit single, the two million-seller Your Song. Other tracks have endured as rock radio classics and concert favourites over the years, most notably Take Me To The Pilot. In addition to garnering two Grammy nominations, Elton John has been included on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012. This edition contains three bonus tracks, including the B-side Bad Side Of The Moon, covered by Canadian group April Wine in 1972.
