"Jansen can always be relied upon to bring a fresh approach to chamber music ... this album is no exception. Pure, thrilling, exhilarating playing."
- Classic FM
"... the perfect combination of a thrilling performance and a reference class recording, that breathes new life into these familiar pieces. Bach lovers will likely savor this and play it often."
- Audiophile Audition
"... Jansen's take on Bach is both fresh and comfortingly familiar ... she achieves a rare combination of old-school glamorous sound and the outdoorsy briskness of period playing. Gorgeous."
- The New York Times
"Impeccable technique and sensitive musicianship serve Bach well on this rewarding collection ... there's a vivacity that invariably responds to the spirit of the dance, and slow movements sing without trespassing into overindulgence ... the two sonatas are given forthright yet supple performances ..."
- BBC Music Magazine
