Three different pianists, a guitarist, flutist and oboe player come together on this first volume paying tribute to influential composer and pianist Timothy Baxter, who made his debut as a composer at age 15 with his short motet, O most merciful, still sung today. That early work showed all the hallmarks of his later compositional style and also the religious feelings so evident in his later choir music. The multiple award-winning composer has written much church music: liturgical arrangements, choir pieces, organ works and cantatas, as well as chamber music, ballet music and a children's musical. His educational music is used all over the world.
