Rising star soprano Ilona Domnich sings arias and songs from her operatic heroines, including Magda from Puccini’s La Rondine and Rosina from Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia. Renowned Italian baritone Leo Nucci makes a guest appearance on a duet from Verdi’s Rigoletto. Simon Over conducts the Southbank Sinfonia, augmented by many former members who returned to transform the ensemble into a full-sized opera house orchestra.
"When the red light came on, we all connected by some invisible thread, all wanting to produce the best music. I absolutely loved the recording. It was an incredible experience; at times it was intoxicating and heavenly because we have beautiful harmony with the orchestra and the conductor.”
- Ilona Domnich
