Volker Hartung leads the Cologne New Philharmonic Orchestra on this all-Vivaldi programme from the 1990s, re-edited and mastered for this 2015 reissue in 48 kHz / 24-bit resolution. The Recorder Concerto in A Minor, featuring soloist Michael Schubert, is presented here in its version for piccolo and orchestra recorded live in Cologne in October 1992; the other pieces are studio recordings from January 1993.
