This is the second album from Seattle jazz collective The Young Lizards, recorded mostly live at Studio X, the foremost recording studio in the Pacific Northwest. A highlight is the creative cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's epic Freebird, reimagined for jazz organ ensemble. The creative progeny of saxophonist Chris Fagan, the Lizards have transformed the traditional jazz organ quartet with accessible yet complex harmonic groove, bringing the Hammond B-3 organ and drums to the forefront as a driving, orchestral wave of sound on which the sax and guitar soloists ride. This album was mastered directly to the high resolution files for superb sound quality.
