Chic is the self-titled debut album by Chic, released on Atlantic Records in 1977. The cover art featured two models, Valentine Monnier (left) and Alva Chinn (right), uncredited in a photograph taken by Frank Laffitte. The Nile Rodgers/Bernard Edwards team turned out some of the most infectious and influential R&B party grooves of their era. Standouts include the mellow jazzy flavour of 'Sao Paulo' and the party anthem 'Everybody Dance".
