The Ulster Orchestra with conductor JoAnn Falletta perform orchestral works by Anglo-Irish composer Ernest John Moeran on this release from Naxos. Entranced by Irish folk melodies, Moeran frequently incorporated them into his compositions, evident in all of the works presented here including the three dramatic Rhapsodies which feature eminent British pianist Benjamin Frith.
