Grammy-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and director Robert Spano present the world premiere of Christopher Theofanidis's Creation/Creator, whose 15 movements each showcase vastly different texts and use very different musical approaches. Recorded live in April 2015, Creation/Creator contains moments of poetry recitations, a cappella choral pieces, orchestral music, electric guitar, saxophone, percussion and vocal sections featuring soloists soprano Jessica Rivera, mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor, tenor Thomas Cooley, bass Evan Boyer and baritone Nmon Ford. This concert album also features the Atlanta Symphony Chorus and actors Steven Cole and Shannon Eubanks.
