Renaissance ensemble Le Miroir de Musique spotlights works by Arnold de Lantins and his brother Hugo on this programme of French and Italian chansons and canzone. The composing brothers were active in Italy, principally in Venice and Pesaro, where they were part of the highly refined style predominant at the beginning of the 15th century; their secular and sacred compositions are preserved in manuscripts copied in Italy.
