Gregor Witt, principal oboist with the Berlin Staatskapelle, interprets works by four composers on this unique album, recorded in late 2014 and early 2015. Witt is joined by acclaimed German chamber ensemble Streichtrio Berlin on Mozart's Oboe Quartet and the Mitglieder der Kammerakademie Potsdam on the Graun and Bach. Great conductor Daniel Barenboim accompanies Witt at the piano on the programme's concluding piece by Schumann.
