Female vocal ensemble Vajra Voices presents its debut recording, dedicated to the music of Hildegard von Bingen. Also known as Saint Hildegard, she was a German Benedictine abbess, philosopher, writer, Christian mystic, polymath and composer of some of the earliest liturgical dramas and morality plays. The vocal ensemble, directed by Karen R. Clark, is joined here by Shira Kammen on vielle and medieval harp.
