Celebrated flutist Sharon Bezaly devised this interesting programme including the flute transcription of Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto along with the original and revised versions of Rautavaara’s Dances with the Winds. On the Khachaturian concerto, Bezaly is accompanied by the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra under Enrique Diemecke; the Rautavaara features the Lahti Symphony Orchestra led by Dima Slobodeniouk. Bezaly plays a 24 karat gold flute custom made for her by Muramatsu in Japan.
