Digital Booklet
"... I could simply conclude 'yes, go and get this' and not say any more ... production values are very good: the Fazioli piano sounds quite beautiful ... I will certainly be seeking out the earlier releases in this series." - MusicWeb International Pianist Nicolas Horvath presents the fourth volume in his Glassworlds series devoted to the piano works of Philip Glass. This installment focuses on love, one of Glass’s most glorious themes: from the timeless melancholy of his BAFTA award-winning score for the 2002 film The Hours to his iconic Music In Fifths, the genius of the composer is felt throughout the recital. The Hours is featured here in its entirety, complete with three previously unpublished movements. The album also includes the breathtakingly energetic Modern Love Waltz and the world premiere recording of the piano transcription of Notes on a Scandal.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
