This is the first in a series of six releases from the internationally renowned Saint Thomas Choir of Men & Boys together with their late, highly celebrated director John Scott, who died in August 2015. Recorded over the course of Scott’s tenure with the choir and available commercially for the first time, the series begins with an inspiring and striking 2008 performance of Rachmaninoff’s Vespers. Scott makes full use of the impressive resources of the acclaimed New York choir to convey the very essence of this atmospheric and deeply powerful music.
