Digital Booklet
Bonjour is a low string band that combines basses, cello, guitars, drums, pitched percussion, melodica and voices to create music that easily slides across genre barriers; an unusual sound world that’s equal parts groove, melody and meditation. The pieces on Bonjour's self-titled debut album are snapshots, each representing a day of the week and its associated mood. The ensemble's founder, songwriter and alto bassist Florent Ghys draws on the Indian classical tradition of raga, Western classical tradition, jazz and other popular music to craft his own idiosyncratic style that shimmers with influences, pushed beyond the safety net of new classical to something altogether edgy and adventurous. The players’ voices are alternately treated as additional melodic instruments or as dictaphones spewing nonsensical parallel quotes from a variety of sources.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
