The middle album of a trilogy of hugely-successful Nat King Cole Spanish-themed albums. A mis amigos, unlike the other two in the series, includes three songs in Portuguese alongside the Spanish material. Nat King Cole recorded this album in Rio de Janeiro in 1959 with Brazilian musicians backing him in the studio and sessions arranged by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cavanaugh.
