The title of Eric Clapton's 1975 album was his self-effacing reply to repeatedly being told he was the greatest guitarist in the world. Clapton's third solo album was recorded in Jamaica on the heels of his smash hit 461 Ocean Boulevard. While similar in some respects to its predecessor, There's One In Every Crowd reflected its recording environment with the addition of reggae influences on several songs. The album reached number 21 on the Billboard 200 while the single Swing Low Sweet Chariot was a top 20 British hit.
