"Without any exaggeration I can easily say that this mostly ignored album from 2010 contains some of the best music Peter Frampton has ever pushed out to date."
- Guitar International
"... (Frampton) remains interesting for his earnest attention to his craft ... his playing is at once melodic and well-structured: he’s classically trained, but also wild and spontaneous ... the record is quite heavy. Pete likes it loud and his guitar tone is big and wide from coast to coast; he’s rarely played with such frenzied passion on the one hand, yet technical precision on the other ... contains substantial songs and Frampton’s playing has never been better. Moreover, the energy and passion he put into the record is impressive ... Frampton’s biggest devotees are no doubt elated to have him back in exuberant form ..."

Peter Frampton's 2010 release Thank You Mr Churchill was his first album since his Grammy-winning all-instrumental Fingerprints four years earlier. Hailed by critics as one of his best, Thank You Mr Churchill was co-produced by Frampton with '80s hitmaker Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Psychedelic Furs) and features Benmont Tench from Tom Petty's band playing Hammond organ on the title track, while Frampton's son Julian lends his vocals to Road To The Sun.
