Digital Booklet
With the news cycle revealing a difficult 2016 for the people and the state of Louisiana, the holiday season brings a more heartwarming narrative with Christmastime In New Orleans. Capturing the festive spirit and traditions of New Orleans, this project reflects the influence of some of the city’s great artists such as Louis Armstrong, Dr. John and Harry Connick Jr. Featuring some of the Big Easy’s finest jazz musicians in beautiful, custom instrumental arrangements of holiday favourites, the album provides a freshly swinging soundtrack for the holidays, produced in conjunction with a PBS television special. The recording sessions, helmed by multiple Grammy winner Christopher Alder, took place onstage in studio conditions at the historic Saenger Theatre on Canal Street in downtown New Orleans. Set up in an intimate circle, the musicians played right to each other as the songs were blessed by the hall’s warm, open acoustics.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
