The songs on this collection are the result of a collaboration between old friends M. Mader (Thierry Schollhammer) and Ronnie Bird. The two French musicians met in New York in the 1980s and kept in touch; when Mader established his successful career in Hollywood as a film composer, he continued to send Bird music excerpts, ideas and themes to develop. The cinematic quality of some of the pieces suggested a more thoughtful writing style, more mature and offering more freedom than generally allowed in the traditional pop formats. Bird accepted the challenge with pleasure, but for unknown reasons the songs he came up with remained unheard until this release.
