A cast recording of La Monnaie’s celebrated 2012 production of one of Handel's greatest operas, Orlando. The cast, led by Bejun Mehta in perhaps his most famous role, reunited with the B’Rock Orchestra and Grammy-winning conductor René Jacobs in the Brugge Concertgebouw to record the work, taking full advantage of the opportunity to make a studio recording. This album features not only the exquisitely honed performances of the ensemble, but also special percussion effects fitting to this most magical of Handel’s operas.
