This audiophile reissue combines two historic Beethoven performances from Otto Klemperer and the Wiener Symphoniker recorded for Vox and released in 1951. Archiphon has transferred the analogue source into the digital domain at 24-bit using high end Swiss equipment and without any further manipulation. As a result, the digital data medium fully retains the warm, atmospheric analogue sound of the original vinyl.
96 kHz / 24-bit PCM – Archiphon Studio Masters

This album is a high-resolution digital transfer of material originating from an analogue recording. It may contain noise, distortion or other artifacts, and may also contain audio which is limited in bandwidth and dynamic range, due to the technology available at the time of its original creation. As such, it is offered as a high-resolution documentation of a historical release.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
